Drug Trafficking Penalties
Cocaine trafficking:
- 28 to 200 grams: mandatory minimum 10 years in prison, $200,000 fine
- 200 to 400 grams: 15 years in prison, $300,000 fine
- 400 grams or more: 25 years in prison, $1,000,000 fine
Some Schedule I and II Drugs (including heroine and morphine):
- Four to 14 grams: Mandatory minimum five years in prison, $50,000 fine
- 14 to 28 grams: 10 years in prison, $100,000 fine
- 28 grams or more: 25 years in prison, $500,000 fine
Marijuana Trafficking:
- 10 to 2,000 pounds: mandatory minimum 5 years in prison, $100,000 fine
- 2,000 to 10,000 pounds: seven years in prison, $250,000 fine
- More than 10,000 pounds: 15 years in prison, $1,000,000 fine
